TXXI, Development insights

The TXXI app’s idea is simple: Push one button and within minutes, a taxi will arrive at your location. Our biggest design challenge has been to keep the interface as simple as that. We need to give the user a 'one click action' experience. All other functionality has to happen below the surface. For example, what if a user has no internet connection? What happens when a user switches phones? What if the position could not be determined accurately enough? What if ... , what if ... ?

TXXI, A cab without a call

The first location based taxi-ordering app in the world. In the last 50 years there has been very little change in the taxi branch. Where the other travel related businesses have seen major innovation, aviation and public transport for example. In the taxi business you still need to make a phone call or visit a netscape navigator website with a webform connected to a fax machine to order a taxi.

My Name is E - What We’ve Been Up To

Instead of blogging an impersonal press release, we thought it would be a lot cooler to tell you more about what's happening behind the scenes at My Name is E. A lot of things have been going great lately, and it's great that it's coinciding with VMC. The life of a bootstrapped operation is not all fun and games, but it's a ride we can recommend to anyone.

Vodafone Mobile Clicks contest MyOrder’s first blog, so we’d rather have it be a good one ;)

Well, first of all I would like to thank everyone involved for their support to let us reach this far in the VMC-contest. Over at MyOrder HQ, we think Vodafone is doing a great job in getting the Mobile branch the attention it deserves. We all know the most advanced mobile technologies are still coming up and the fact Vodafone holds a contest such as this one enlightens us and motivates us to do an even better job.
