Selection process

All mobile internet startup entries will be evaluated in all selection rounds based on the following five criteria:

1. Originality, creativity and innovativeness
2. Technical and operational ability
3. Economic and financial viability
4. Feasibility of realising the product or service within a period of two years
5. The quality of the members of the (management) team (e.g. their experience, knowledge, skills, relationships)

The Vodafone Mobile Clicks 2009 contest consists of different jury rounds:

1. Pre-selection in the Netherlands (May)
2. Pre-selection in the UK (May)
3. 2 jury rounds in the Netherlands (May and July)
4. 2 jury rounds in the UK (June and August)
5. 1 final consolidated jury round at PICNIC combining the finalists of both NL and UK (September)

Key values within our selection process by the jury are:

• Objective
• Professional
• Thorough
• Balanced (both commercial as well as technical aspects are covered)

United Kingdom

• Registration closed on May 22nd
• First jury round: First or Second week of June 2009
• Second jury round: First or Second week of August
  
• Final jury round: September 25th, 2009

The Netherlands

• Registration closed on May 15th
• First jury round: third or fourth week of May 2009
• Second jury round: third or fourth week of July 2009
  
• Final jury round: September 25th, 2009
